Andie spotted Ted at a table and sat down next to him. They'd missed each other the night before because Andie had rounds to do and as such she'd slept a little later than she normally did. Charms was their first class together. "Let me guess," she said, leaning in so he could hear her. "You entered your name into the goblet, didn't you?" She knew better than to hope that he hadn't, but it didn't stop her from doing just that.

Ted was perched in his seat, mind wandering to the competition. His head snapped out of his daydream of winning when someone sat beside him. He half expected, Amos, but grinned when he saw it was Andie. He shrugged. "Of course I did. You knew I was going to no matter how much of a fret you made." he teased leaning back, and chuckling a bit. "You know, Amos entered as well right? So I'm betting its going to be one of us. So get ready." He tacked on giving her a playful wink.

She wanted to lean her head against his shoulder as a gesture of comfort, both to him and to herself. "Just because I knew doesn't mean I hope it wasn't true." She sighed. "I know he entered too, and I'm worried about both of you. And I'll be worried if one of you gets picked as the Hogwarts champion." She rolled her eyes at him as he winked, though it still caused her heart to skip a beat whenever he winked at her. Andie wished that he didn't affect her so, especially as it was clear to her that he didn't feel the same. "You know I'll be proud of both of you, either way."

To resist the urge to drape his arm over her shoulder he crossed his arms over his chest. Really, he had to tack down these feelings. They would do nothing but ruin what they had as friends. "Well, as smart as you are, you really should have known better than to hope that." He teased softly. He understood why she was so worried though. People have died during this competition. He gave her a soft smile. "I'm glad we have your support on this. I really do. You know we're going to need it if one of us are picked." He said softly, eyes moving across her face. He caught something out of the side of his eyes and turned his head slightly, holding back a laugh. "Don't make it obvious, but poor Amos." He whispered, huffing out light snickers between his words.

"I should have known," she agreed, smiling. "You have next period off, don't you?" she asked. "I was going to go down to the lake if you wanted to join me. Gonna do some homework." Andie glanced back over her shoulder under the guise of looking around the room. "Oh my god, poor Amos. Mary's making him so nervous." She glanced back at him. "We'll rescue him if we need to, but Mary's nice, and I don't think we really need to."

He chuckled and nodded. "Thank I do. Plans on kidnapping me, Miss. Black?" He teased as he stretched his legs out and slouched in his seat a bit more. He hummed and nodded. "Sure. Sounds nice. Relax a  bit before it gets really could out." He thought out loud. He watched her, a grin breaking out over his face even more. "The poor kid. He's been so distraught since the soup mishap. He thinks she thinks hes some sort of clumsy sod. Which he is." He laughed lowly rolling his eyes. "Well I'm sure he'll be fine. As long as she doesn't do anything drastic like smile too hard at him."

She grinned cheekily. "Definitely planning on kidnapping you, Mr. Tonks," she teased. "Going to use you as a pillow," she said. "Didn't sleep great last night. And I'd like to get out of the castle for a bit." She glanced back at her friend again. "He is a clumsy dork, but he's our clumsy dork and we love him. Merlin only knows why..." she mused, chuckling. "She's looking at him now, we should all be on the lookout for an Amos shaped puddle on the floor."

"Oh whatever will I do." He gasped dramatically clutching his chest. He gave her a lopsided grin. "Well you know I'm always good for a pillow, heater, hair player with-er. Anything you need, kitten." He grinned. "Why couldn't you sleep? It wasn't because of the competition is it?" He inquired lowly. If it was he was going to feel horrible for worrying her so much. He snorted. "I'm going to stick with our parents made us friends so I'm stuck with him." He joked. His own eyes drifted over and he held back a laugh as he watched. "Poor bloke. You can tell he just wants to vanish - Merlin look at how shes looking at him now. He might die. We might have a dead Amos in two seconds."

"You could make a run for it..." she mused tapping her chin. "Pillow and hair playing I'm thinking. It's been a week already. I have to write a letter to Mum and Dad tonight. Not looking forward to that." She tilted her head, pretending to jot down a few notes. "Just couldn't stay asleep. All the new people in the castle, we had to be extra careful on our patrols. Got in nearly an hour late. You were already asleep, I think." She giggled. "I'm stuck with him for other reasons." She glanced back and she giggled into her hand. "Oh Merlin, we're going to have to drag him to the hospital wing."

"I could, but we both know you'd get me somehow. I mean we live together." He chuckled as he reached over and poked her leg playfully. He nodded. "Well pillow and hair playing it is then." He scrunched his nose. "I'm sorry. Do you want to read it back to me as usual?" Part of him didn't really believe her excuse for not sleeping, but he knew better than to question it. "Ah, yes. More help now though. Your new friend wouldn't happen to have the name MacDonald would she? I caught a Mary from Beauxbaton on the new schedule." He asked taking notes lazily. "If so you already know I'm placing her with Amos all the time." He chuckled. He glanced back again. "Merlin she got closer. Is she trying to kill him?"

"Thank you," she murmured, giving him a bright smile that she reserved for him. "If you don't mind. It's a response to their last letter bitching me out for being seen with you. I need to explain, again, that we're head boy and girl." Her eyes sparkled with silent laughter. "You may or may not be right." She shrugged. "I promised her that nights I'm not patrolling with you, she and I'll be patrolling together. I was going to put her with Amos too." She glanced over Ted's shoulder. "Oh shit," she muttered, laughing. "Look at his face. He's dying. And trying not to look down her uniform front. I trained him well."

He loved the smile she gave only him. It lit her face up in the most wonderful way. It made him want to kiss her. He grunted and rolled his eyes. "Your parents sure are stupid. I don't get why they cant just grasp it already." He sighed as she crossed his arms over his chest again. He chuckled. "Well look at that, we both had the same brilliant idea. Imagine his face when he sees the schedule. He might try and kill us you know." He snickered. "He's totally dying. I would feel sorry for him but it's really amusing to see him like this. I mean really, when has he ever been this interested in a girl before?" He mumbled looking back to his friend. "He's a guy though. He'll slip up."

"They'd have no trouble with it if you were a pureblood, and would have less trouble with it than they do now if you were a half blood," she grumbled, rolling her eyes. "And we both know that they're stupid, but I can't outright say that in my letter now can I? It's your job to make sure that I don't do that." She shrugged, chuckling. "I have a feeling that we can defend ourselves." She looked over. "Ted, look at his face, he's so red." She watched as her friend clearly stuttered. "I don't think I've ever seen him this worked up over a girl..."

"I know that but they can get over it. This is their last year trying to  control you like some pureblood robot." He muttered, glaring down at his desk. He snorted. "I mean you could, but then again I would rather not have to go to azkaban for killing them after they attempted to hurt you." He nearly growled. He always hated talking about her family, because he was always reminded that he couldn't be with her. He sobered up from his sour mood and laughed. "We totally could defend ourselves." He glanced back and covered the laugh that escaped with a cough as he turned back around. "I didn't know he could get that red." He muttered amused. He looked to her, face becoming a bit serious. "Do you think shes actually into him? Cause if shes not she needs to stop. I don't want her hurting him."

She shrugged and started packing up her bag. "They'll get over it. I'm working on my essay to get into St. Mungos, and looking for flats in London near there." She reached over and patted his hand. "It's fine, honestly. They won't hurt me. There's a chance that I'll still marry a pureblood." Which if she had her way, she wouldn't because she'd marry Ted... But that was a different story. "Don't worry, I already gave her the shovel talk. Told her that if she was going to pursue something, she needed to be serious. But you can give it to her too, if you want."

"Yeah well still. I hate how they try and control everything you do. Like you don't have your own brain." He muttered as he lazily tossed his things into his bag. He clenched his jaw and kept his mouth shut. If he had it his way she wouldn't marry anyone but him. Yet it wasn't his way. And it pissed him off to the core. "Yeah." Was all he said as he stood up and slung his bag over his shoulder. He shook his head. "I don't want to scare the poor girl off. Especially if she's into the knob. He'll disown me as his friend if I do that." He muttered with a chuckle.

"If you ask them, I don't." She smiled at him. "But you're on my side, and Amos is on my side. That's all I need. You. And Amos." She hoped the pause wasn't too obvious. She bumped him with her hip gently. "C'mon, let's go to the lake and we'll hang out and then come back in for afternoon classes." She might actually fall asleep on him but she couldn't bring herself to care. "He'd disown me but I can play the sister card, and he has to put up with me." She hooked her pinky with his and tugged him out into the hallway.

He sighed lowly as she smiled at him. He needed to stop being so grumpy about this topic. It was clear they would never work out. He couldn't make her choose between him and her family. "You know we're always going to be on your side. If we had it our way you would have gotten away from them a long time ago." He muttered, chuckling as she bumped him. He nodded, mood lifting. "Yeah lets go. Luckily I was smart enough to stuff my bag with food this morning." He chuckled. He let her pull him out of class, giving Amos a knowing grin as he passed. "That's true. We've tried to get rid of you loads of times." He joked reaching up and ruffling her hair lightly. He knew she hated it, but he couldn't help himself.

She hummed in acknowledgement. "Which I would have appreciated if you could have gotten me away from them." She rolled her eyes, amused. "No that just means you're a typical teenaged guy, always hungry. I'm just lucky you're willing to share with me." She frowned and batted his hand away from her hair. "Oi, no messing up my hair!" she said, pouting at him. "Cruel." She sniffed haughtily. "You wouldn't get rid of me, you like me too much. We've been friends for seven years now." They made their way to the entrance hall.

"I still can you know. Get you away from them." He muttered, ruffling his hair a bit. He gasped, pretending to be offended. "Excuse me! I'm not always hungry." He sniffed, sticking his nose in the air. A wicked grin spread over his face. "But if you had of said horny you would have been correct." He tacked on playfully. "But your hair is always so much fun to mess up." He snorted. "Yeah you're right. I'd get bored if I didn't have you around. I mean I cant be the only one to torment poor, Amos."

She hummed. "That's what I'm using St. Mungos for, to get away from them. Though I am interested in how you'd get me away from them." She laughed as they exited the castle, smiling. "You're always hungry, don't even try to deny it. I can't vouch for the horny one. Fifth year on the other hand..." She smiled as they made their way down to the lake. "You'd get terribly bored if I wasn't around. Besides I'd miss tormenting Amos more than I'd miss hanging out with you." Both of them knew it was a blatant lie.

He nodded, reaching up and ruffling his hair again. "Well first of all you'd move in with Amos and I. I mean you know our parents love you. Which I think would be enough to get them off your arse." He thought out loud. "And if it doesn't I'll hide you." He tacked on playfully. The sun hit Ted's skin and she sighed happily. "I mean I'm hungry lots yes, but I haven't had any sort of sexual anything since fifth year. So I'm a bit overdue." He chuckled as he rummaged in his bag and pulled out a napkin full of biscuits. He gasped loudly and clutched his heart. "I'm hurt. So horribly hurt!" He dramatically declared before chuckling. "We both know you'd miss me more. Don't even try and pretend like you wouldn't."

Andie hummed, leaning into him. "I'd like moving in with you or Amos." She thought about her weekly conversations with Rebecca. "I know your parents love me. I love them too." She shivered slightly at the thought of being hidden away, just her and Ted. She liked that thought. She glanced up at him at his words, wondering why he hadn't slept with anyone since then. Not that she had either. "You definitely are. You know that all the sane, heterosexual and bisexual girls in this school wants you, along with the gay and bisexual guys." She giggled, smiling. "You're right, I would miss you more. Not even gonna deny that."

Ted draped his free arm over her shoulder and continued to nibble on the biscuit with the others. "Yeah. It would be a fun time. Us living together out of school. Imagine the mishaps we could make." He grinned, wriggling his brows. In reality he knew if she was free from her family then maybe he would have the guts to actually ask her out. "Course they do. Mum always asks how you're doing in her letters." He looked down at her and smiled. He rolled his eyes. "Well they can stuff it. I have no interest in any of those plonkers." He muttered as they reached the lake. He let his bag slide off his shoulder. He gave her a grin. "You better. I'm much more handsome than that spaz."

Andie snuggled in close to him, reveling in being so close to him in such close proximity. "We'd get into so much trouble, and it'd be fun." He did things to her, and she wished he would make those things a reality. However, she knew better than to ask him out while the threat of her parents hung over her head. "Your mum and I talk weekly, you know that right?" she asked, laughing. She raised an eyebrow. She wasn't expecting that from Ted. She honestly had expected him to be interested in someone. "You are, but don't tell him I said that."
